Daniel Nybo (organist)
I am glad to write a letter of recommendation for any one that is
considering the purchase of a new Rodgers organ for their church.
When we had the opportunity to have the 927 Trillium organ brought in
to our church for demonstration by Peggy at a Sunday service, people
were astonished by all of the amazing sounds from this organ and the
MX-200. These digital sounds are incredibly realistic; from the
Handbells, Choral Ahs, Chimes, Zimbelstern, Festival Trumpet to the
Amens and Alleluias!
Peggy also left the instrument at our church for several weeks, giving
us the opportunity to use it for a while before our decision was made.
She was so helpful with questions, concerns, and also for the ideas for
the installation. She has been a valuable resource as any questions
arise.
Our church made a huge “leap of faith” by deciding to purchase a large
3-manual drawknob instrument and replacing an aging 2-manual instrument
with no memory or capabilities for MIDI . We will never have to regret
buying a smaller instrument that wouldn’t have had the expanded
capabilities or the lack of the 3rd manual.
Our worship experience has been enhanced with the blended contemporary
sounds, and the congregation’s singing has improved considerably.
People are continually impressed with all of the incredible sounds
available.
I have also found the MR-200 to be a giant asset. By pre-recording
selections, I can now have communion with my family, and the organ can
play itself! In addition, the MR-200 serves as a great learning tool,
giving the organist the opportunity to listen and evaluate his or her
performance and choice of registrations. I have also started to use it
to play orchestrated pieces with which I play along. These are
outstanding arrangements. Rodgers, along with its associates, and Frog
Music Press are incredible resources for these kinds of pieces. The
instructions are very easy to read and well laid out. They also give
helpful registrations for organ and MIDI voices and directions on how to
use different audio mapping as needed.
As an organist, I appreciate what the organ has to offer: the unlimited
memory (memory cards), voice palette stops, the varied voices on the
MX-200, room modeling features, the transposer and the realistic pipe
organ voices. Every time I sit down to play this instrument, I am
amazed by all of its resources and the ease of which they can be used.
I am so thankful our congregation purchased this incredible
instrument.
Sincerely,
Daniel Nybo
