ORGAN SHOES
Organ shoes allow for precise pedal playing. The thin sole allows the organist to feel the pedals and is made of material that enables smooth movement from pedal to pedal. The raised heel enables movement between the pedals and is especially advantageous over being "stocking-footed" when playing from the "white key" pedals to the "black key" pedals. If your organ shoes are quite old, check the brad nails on the heels to ensure that they aren't "poking out", causing the pedals to be scratched. Consider replacing the heels at a good shoemaker or replacing your organ shoes to protect the organ's pedals.
